You’ll need: 10 empty plastic water bottles (labels off), 10 glow sticks (the dollar store is your friend), water, and any medium-sized ball — a basketball, soccer ball, or playground ball all work.
Build it:
- Fill each bottle about three-quarters full with water — the water spreads the glow and adds just enough weight so the pins wobble dramatically before they fall (the best part).
- Crack and shake each glow stick, drop one in each bottle, and screw the caps on tight.
- Set up your 10 “pins” in a triangle at the end of a hallway, garage, or driveway.
- Kill the lights (or wait for sunset), mark a bowling line with painter’s tape, and let ’em roll.
Mix the glow stick colors for team play, keep score like real bowling, and when the night’s over, the bottles go straight into the fridge door as emergency cold packs — or just recycle them. Strike!
